CEP Value

Certified Electrical Professional – Outside Sales™ (CEP-OS™)
Certified Electrical Professional – Inside Sales™ (CEP-IS™)

What does the CEP™ mean to you?
Simply put, the person designated as a Certified Electrical Professional has demonstrated the knowledge and skills to be an effective solutions provider.

The Certified Electrical Professional is a certification program created just for the electrical distribution industry. More than 700 individuals from over 180 companies had input in creating the CEP which is only given to those who meet predetermined standards for competencies and education levels.

By meeting the criteria and passing the certification exam, these individuals are the very first to be awarded this distinction in our industry. Areas of focus where they demonstrate their abilities include:

  • Account management
  • Providing solutions with the products and services that they can offer to you
  • Understanding our industry by keeping abreast of new products
  • Using their personal resources and business skills effectively

The president of one large electrical contractor company noted that if he could just make one phone call and get all of his questions answered and all the products he needs, he would keep working with that CEP.
